My life has never quite been the same since autism entered our reality.
It plunged our family into deep grief, massive confusion and fear about the future - that was almost two years ago now and this steep learning curve has taught us so much.
There've been days when I’ve questioned if running a rapidly growing business is the right thing to do (the mum guilt has been intense).
There's also been days that I'm not sure I would have gotten through if it wasn’t for having my business - the one thing that fulfils my purpose and gives me something that is just mine.
In this week's Wellness Entrepreneur Podcast episode I share my story of our Sohl and the reality of caring for a child with autism whilst being a fiercely ambitious entrepreneur. I reveal:
As wellness entrepreneurs we are not afraid of the woo. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it's often intuition, trust in life and the quest to fulfil our purpose that initially drives our entrepreneurial journey.
We have certainty been known to create a vision board for our next launch, pull an oracle card for guidance on our next steps and to journal out all our worries and concerns.
But how much can these practices truly influence the success of your business?
Are they in fact just the the wellness entrepreneurs comfort blanket?
Today's podcast guest, Chelsea Etienne (founder of Sakti Healing), doesn't think so. She believes the the sacred feminine essence from which all of these practices arise is an essential component to the growth of not only our lives but also our businesses.
In this episode we explore:
- The difference between intuition and insecurity and how to know which ones is running the show in your business
- Why personal trauma exists in so many wellness...
Is purpose alone enough to create a successful global brand?
Is it really possible to hit your income and impacts goals without a fierce and robust business strategy?
In today's podcast episode I interview Satya Scianetti, founder of Satya jewellery, who created a multi million dollar business from an idea she received during a yoga and meditation retreat in the Bahamas.
Starting her career as a social worker, Satya never imagined she would begin a sacred jewellery brand at the age of 40 (alongside bringing twins into the world) that would go on to contribute millions to various global foundations that support children with varying additional needs.
In this episode we explore the role spirituality plays in business success, including:
Your brand spanking new service needs to be shared with the world - I have no doubt!
So then why does it feel so damn hard to get it into the hands of those it can serve most?
I’ve been there my friend.
Spending endless hours perfecting the online course, coaching programme or wellness offer and believing with every inch of your being that this will be THE thing that catapults you into the level of success you have always dreamt of.
And then crickets.
Nothing. Nada. Nout.
Maybe some sales come through but it hardly feels worth the time, money and energy invested - so back you trot to the drawing board (jaded and slightly heart-broken )
It does not have to be this way.
The success of your new service depends entirely on what led up to the launch and in the intricate planning of how to achieve your desired outcome.
In today's podcast episode I share my simple 5 step launch formula that will have you back in the driver's seat and consciously creating the impact and...
For many, becoming an entrepreneur is a one-way ticket to more freedom - no fixed hours, no controlling boss to answer to and (the best bit) more time with the family.
From the outside it seems like the hidden ingredient to ‘living your best life’, but for many the reality is anything but.
Throw in broken nights (why do these always happen just before a super important day), unexpected illness, school closures, nursery staff shortages and partners conveniently injuring themselves the day before their day to have the kids, and it’s not surprising many mums in business end up wondering if it’s all really worth it.
This is the moment I should swoop in and tell you ‘there’s an easier way’ - but truthfully, I’ve experienced it all (and still often do) and I've come to the conclusion that there really is no one size fits all solution.
But - I have built multi-award winning wellness businesses and grown them to six-figures whilst being a mum...
